Outline methodology
The UTX was installed using an RRV and a 5T 360 Excavator. The RRV helped facilitate the lifting of spoil bags and materials and traveled back and forth between the access RRAP and the worksite.
Operatives installed MGF Gripshore temporary works in accordance with the design of the Temporary works to protect workers entering the excavation
While the trench was open, gas monitors were placed to monitor and record air content and quality prior to entry. Gas detection being monitored & recorded throughout the works to ensure the safety of all operatives entering the trenched excavations.
The UTX duct was installed and earthworks reinstated progressively, carefully backfilling and compacting in accordance with specifications
Waste materials were all loaded into 1-tonne bags onto the RRV trailer transported to the site access where a telehandler removed the bags to a storage area.
Robel Kango Packers were then used to compact the new track ballast along all disturbed areas and a full track survey was completed using our Amberg Track trolley
At the end of the possession, grab lorries collected spoil and waste and transferred to a licensed landfill
